Charity is one of the most important social programs of “ENA” CJSC.
Corporate social responsibility, as a principle of corporate governance, plays an important role at all stages of managerial decision-making and is one of the foundational factors of the Company’s sustainable development.
Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC, being the largest employer in the Republic of Armenia, creates decent working conditions for its employees and provides them with an essential social benefits package.
We consider the preservation and development of our workforce to be another important achievement of the Company, along with the steps taken to enhance employees’ professional skills. Special attention is paid to sports, particularly football, chess, and backgammon tournaments. In keeping with tradition, ENA organizes friendly matches between football teams of different companies.
It is also important to highlight the effective work of the Company’s trade union organization, which, within the framework of the collective agreement, provides additional payments to participants of the Great Patriotic War and labor veterans (about 180 individuals), amounting to 50% of their pensions. Furthermore, the trade union offers support to employees in cases of illness, disability, and other difficult life circumstances.
Since 2012, the Company has been conducting educational sessions in all public schools on the topic of electricity usage. During these sessions, Company employees explain to children in an accessible way what electricity is, how it is generated and delivered to households, and most importantly, how to use it safely and efficiently.
Among its charitable and sponsorship programs, the Company supports orphanages in Yerevan and Vanadzor, centers for children with disabilities and mental challenges (such as the Mother Teresa Orphanage in Vanadzor and the “Salvation” Charitable NGO in Yerevan), families living in temporary shelters in Gyumri, as well as socially vulnerable groups, and initiatives in the fields of education and culture.
