Public Services Regulatory Commission Approved ENA Investment Programs

During its meeting held on November 15, 2017 the Public Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Armenia discussed questions on approving the 2016-2020 investment program of “Electric Networks of Armenia” CJSC, adjustments for 2017-2020 as well as the investment program set for 2018-2027.

As a result of discussion of questions mentioned above, the RA Public Services Regulatory Commission decided to approve the 2016-2020 investment program of “Electric Networks of Armenia” CJSC, adjustments for 2017-2020 as well as the investment program set for 2018-2027.

In the framework of the approved investment program, the Company will make an investment of about AMD 350 billion during the period from 2016 to 2027, VAT exempt.

Investment programs envisage complete replacement and upgrading of equipment in 6(10)/0.4 kV voltage networks, reconstruction and modernization of power transmission lines in 35 - 0,4kV voltage networks including secondary power supply, network expansion and connection of new subscribers, installation of electric power automated recording system in 0.4 kV voltage networks, and implementation of international standards of management and automated registration systems. As a result, company costs will be reduced, losses will be decreased to be compliant with accepted European standards, the number and duration of power outages will be decline by almost two times, voltage deviations will be excluded.
