Development perspectives
CJSC “Electric Networks of Armenia” foresees annual investments in networks reconstruction and development. The Public Services Regulatory Commission has approved investment programs for 2007-2009 submitted by the company. The programs presuppose replacement of the substations equipment, construction of new energy objects, introduction of new technologies into 6 (10) – 110 kV networks, including:

construction, reconstruction and re-equipment of substations, cable lines, aerial circuits and other energy objects,

Japanese Bank of International Cooperation has provided to the company lax credit for reconstruction of thirteen substations with 110 kV voltage. The program will also provide the replacement of the basic equipment of the substations on 110-35-6(10) voltage level.
Works are carried out with the purpose of significant replenishment of the databases with new informational volumes which will allow reflecting the activity of the company in the trade and engineering spheres.
After the successful completion of integral introduction of ECAA (electric control and accounting automated) system into the high-voltage networks of “Electric Networks of Armenia” CJSC, the company continued the process, this time within the low-voltage networks (6/10kV and 0.4 kV). At present these pilot programs are applied within 2% of the area serviced by the company. In 2008 it is planned to continue introduction of PLC technologies on the basis of the analogous programs, applying it on the 8-10% of the serviced area initially and on the whole territory in future.
